This workshop will be an introduction to Traditional Islamic Calligraphy. Over the course of the workshop, students will have the opportunity to briefly learn about the development of Islamic calligraphy, the materials and tools of the art, and practical steps to writing the Thuluth Script.

You will receive a starter set of traditional calligraphy materials, including a bamboo pen, ink and likka, calligraphy paper, and practice worksheets. 

Fee: $50

Hang out with the ladies at Kaamilah, and get introduced to the mystical world of Arabic Calligraphy with Toronto-based artist and instructor, Sehar Shahzad.
